We return to Gastronomica for our eat and greet Tuesday 20th April 18.30 - 20.30  - an informal and intimate space to enjoy Italian regional cheeses and cured meats with a glass or two of wine.

Come say hi to the committee. Get an answer to: "What is Slow Food all about then?" Eat delicious goats' cheese while meeting Slow Foodies with a glass of prosecco or wine.

A Talk by Paolo Arrigo of Seeds of Italy

Paolo's talk will look at the whole cycle of the vegetable seed from its birth, planting, to its arrival upon the plate. Paolo Arrigo grew up as he puts it in the “Italian Way” in the vegetable plot, in the kitchen and at the table, not to mention in his dad's Italian deli in London. He has always been passionate about food and hence its provenance.

Paolo is a member of Slow Food and of the Guild of food writers. Each year he speaks at the Abergavenny Food Festival, the RHS Hampton Court Show, La Dolce Vita and BBC Gardeners World Live as well as a guest speaker at numerous other gardening and food events.

Seeds of Italy (Franchi Seeds) are RHS Bronze medal winners at Hampton Court - not gold unfortunately but they are aiming for that this year!
