The Redemption Brewery guide will be owner, Andy Moffat as seen in the photo. A former Bond trader with Deutsche Bank, he abandoned the City in 2009 to devote himself to brewing classic British Ale. Already Redemption Ales are being acknowledged for their character and quality. – And selling well!
Andy will explain the brewing process in detail – malting, boiling, hopping, fermenting and conditioning. We’ll nibble on malt grains and hops. We’ll see the Mash Tun, the Kettle, the Fermentation Vessel and the Conditioning Tank. We’ll sample a wondrous variety of Ales. Plus we’re promised a tasting of accompanying Lombardy cheeses from the visitors! Molto Grazie!
Redemption produces its Ales with a dedication to Slow Food principles of good, clean and fair. Andy uses locally-sourced malt and hops. His electricity comes exclusively from renewable sources. He gives all spent malt grains and hops to local allotments for composting.
