Anna Hansen wrote her first cookbook 'The Modern Pantry Cookbook' in 2011 to rave reviews and was awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year Honours this year.
Created especially for Slow Food London our menu for the evening is:

Sugar-cured New Caledonian prawn omelette, green chilli, spring onion, coriander, smoked chilli sambal
Confit artichoke heart, citrus roast fennel, smoked ricotta, sumac dusted buckwheat & mustard greens, Seresin Estate orange oil & mustard seed dressing
Mains
Roast lamb rump marinated in ginger and carom, confit artichoke heart, wild garlic, tea quail egg and salted liquorice macadamia nut salad, black garlic, lemongrass and poppy seed dressing
Edamame crusted buffalo mozzarella, purple carrot, shimeji and oyster mushroom salad, grilled spring onion, romesco sauce
Desserts
Matcha meringue, elderflower & gooseberry sorbet, raspberry compote, yoghurt cream

The chef for the evening will join us for a brief chat on the Modern Pantry’s philosophy and approach to food.
Anna Hansen’s cooking reflects her Danish ancestry, a New Zealand childhood and a culinary journey to the UK. Her renowned restaurant is a sanctuary of bold flavours, colourful ingredients, and herbs and spices that are expertly brought together to create fresh, original and captivating dishes. Anna's philosophy is driven by the desire to please and excite the palate by renewing everyday cooking with modern ingredients and global inspiration.
Dinner is £35 plus an optional 12.5% service charge. Drinks are not included and the Modern Pantry offers a creative wine list.
