The Academy of Chocolate and Slow Food London bring you a very special chocolate tasting evening featuring some of London’s best chocolate shops and the UK’s newest artisan chocolate producer. Each will be guiding you through the art of tasting fine chocolate and sampling their unique creations. All the producers have
ethical sourcing policies.

Patissier Chocolatier, winner of the Academy’s best chocolatier award
for 3 years running, has two shops: in Richmond and Belgravia
- Chantal Coady of Rococo opened her first chocolate shop on the Kings Road in 1983 and led the way in terms of improving Londoners' tastes in chocolate. Chantal now has 3 shops and exports her wonderful chocolates globally
- Duffy Sheardown of Red Star Chocolate is the UK's newest artisan chocolate producer, 1 of only 2 in the UK. The other is Willie Harcourt Cooze of Channel 4’s Willies Wonky Chocolate factory fame. Duffy is producing fantastic quality chocolate from his micro chocolate factory in Lincolnshire and will be guiding you through the art of making chocolate from the bean. This is an exclusive opportunity to taste Duffy’s chocolate before launch
- Paul A Young has two shops in Islington and The Royal Exchange and is known for his cutting
edge creativity. Paul published his first book ‘Adventures with Chocolate’ in 2009 which won Best Chocolate Book in the World at the Gourmand Book Awards in Paris
The Academy of Chocolate was established in 2005 to encourage consumers to look beyond the label and improve the standard and knowledge of chocolate in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to taste the best chocolate available in the UK, meet some of the most high profile people in the chocolate industry and find out more about this wonderful food.
