Slow Food London is proud to host a night of three-course Arabian food delights on Tuesday February 22, 18:30. The night is so especial that Scheherazade could well, if now alive, be inspired to spin a thousand and second tale of enchantment. It is being given by the award-winning Middle Eastern food suppliers, Terra Rossa. This company is recognised as a Fair Wage supplier so its ethics conform to those of Slow Food and it is indeed a Slow Food Member.
The great-value gourmet dishes will be provided in an Appetiser and three chosen courses.
Appetiser
Titillating amuse-bouche of five different oils and three herb mixes accompanied by freshly-baked Arabian Bread. Arabia was the cradle of olive oil production in Biblical times and its quality remains unmatched. The oils are either au naturel or ones infused with basil, chilli, garlic and lemon.
First Course
To follow is a range of five renowned Levantine specialities – Falafel with Tahini Dip, Houmus with Harissa, Lebny Yoghurt Dip, Taboula Salad and Baba Ganouch. Terra Rossa provenance guarantees that these faithfully reproduce the excellence to be tasted in Beirut or Damascus.
Second Course
Choice for the second course: a layered vegetarian casserole with Zaatar Passata or a Chicken Musakhan with Zaatar and Pine nuts. Both are Middle Eastern specialities that will be prepared in the most authentic of manners. When booking please indicate your choice of Vegetarian or Chicken.
Third Course
Terra Rossa will end the meal by offering exquisite Arabian Coffee with Arabian Sweet Bites – again the first and best - or a variety of herbal teas such as mint, sage or rose petal.
Throughout the meal, Hanan Samara, Managing Director of Terra Rossa – herself Arabian – will give an informed commentary on Middle Eastern Food –its production, preparation and tasting. The Night will be educational as well as enjoyable!
Terra Rossa sponsorship means that the Night is available at the exceptional-value price of £18 SFL Members and £23 Non-members.
The Dispensary Pub and Dining Room is a superb listed Victorian building now transformed to become a Campaign for Real Ale Pub and Dining Room of the Year. It offers the full range of quality wines, superb Real Ales, Lagers and other drinks. Choose what you want to enhance the Arabian experience.
